Your Angel Unaware

When you least expect it,

From the corner of your eye,

With a rustle of feathers,

And a burst of crimson,

You look and see,

An Angel Unaware.

A visitor from your past,

Whose love will ever last,

Appears from the heavens,,

For an earthly visit and hello,

Your Angel Unaware.

Let your heart rejoice,

As the missionary in scarlet,

Comes back to spend time,

With the people it loves,

An Angel Unaware.

Many people believe that when they see a Cardinal, it is a person they know who has passed coming to visit. This bright beauty was in our yard the other day and I shot the picture and was inspired to write this poem.
